Stockton mayor's team talks goals and the job with The Record


Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln took office Jan. 1 after defeating incumbent Michael Tubbs in the November election.
But when Lincoln was hired by Stockton voters to step into the city s top leadership role, they were also getting the team of people that come with him.
In 2016, Stocktonians approved a measure amending the city s charter by mandating that funding for the mayor s office to employ three staffers to be included in the annual budget. The positions included an executive assistant, public information officer and senior policy adviser.
The mayor is allowed to select his own staff with the City Council s consent. The council approved Lincoln s staff choices at its Dec. 15 meeting. ....
