Remember the hoarding stage of the pandemic? People were clearing shelves of toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizing wipes, sanitizer, hand soap, pads, tampons, toothpaste, and condoms. (That last one actually made sense.) I remember telling frustrated women in the feminine product aisle who were just trying to get their monthly necessity (only to find them unavailable) to consider the menstrual cup. I d made the switch a year prior and it was a cost effective solution, especially during a pandemic. I even tweeted Menstrual cup companies, it s your time to shine! The truth is, aside from solving the pandemic pad/tampon problem, menstrual cups are also better for the environment. ....

Stanford Law School Professor Deborah Rhode, one of the nation’s leading scholars on legal ethics, has died at age 68.
Rhode had taught at Stanford since 1979, when she became the third female law professor in the school’s history. She was the founder of the school’s Center on Ethics and served as president of the Association of American Law Schools, chair of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession, and founding president of the International Association of Legal Ethics. ....

African Americans who lived through Cincinnati’s riots in the late ‘60s have strong opinions over whether they should be used alongside peaceful protest to advance civil rights.
CINCINNATI — The history of Avondale is known for a number of things in the Cincinnati area, but perhaps one of the most notorious, impactful and memorable chapter in the neighborhood’s history are the race riots that occurred there in the late 1960s.
The grainy, jarring images of past uprisings are eerily similar to the visuals America has been confronted with from this year’s race riots, and those similarities have uniquely resonated with the local residents who experienced the earlier scenes of unrest firsthand.
