Stimulus check update: $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill passed by House includes $1.35 billion for city of LA


Families are anxious to receive their third stimulus check and other badly needed support from the federal government now that President Biden s plan has been approved by Congress.
It should be our priority to ensure that neighborhood services families rely on don t get cut or reduced, and to fully restore any that have suffered, especially in historically underserved communities. WASHINGTON (KTRK) While the Senate narrowly passed the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill Saturday, Texas two senators joined their Republican party colleagues in voting against the measure, calling it a waste.
This bill is stuffed with pork, with only nine percent of the almost $2 trillion going toward actual and urgent COVID relief, said Sen. Ted Cruz in a statement.
