Each visit, I look forward to the banter, the snark and most of all sitting shoulder to shoulder during a cozy brunch at the Ruby Slipper on Canal Street. This is Black joy. My eyes scan her back office. Shelves that stand as tall as the ceiling are stockpiled with paper towels, toilet paper, Lysol, hand sanitizer and cases of bottled water.  ....
