Huntsville-area home sales increase 15% year-over-year in March By ACRE Research April 29, 2021 Sales: According to ValleyMLS.com, March home sales in the Huntsville area increased 15.2% year-over-year (Y/Y) from 663 to 764 closed transactions, marking 10 consecutive months of Y/Y gains. Inventory: Homes listed for sale decreased 42.5% year-over-year from 877 to 504 listings. Months of supply decreased from 1.3 months to 0.7, reflecting a market where sellers generally have elevated bargaining power. Pricing: The median sales price in March was $271,825, an increase of 12.3% from one year ago and an increase of 3.8% from February. (WAFF) - On April 22, members of the Huntsville City Council came together to review an in-depth report about the June 2020 protests in downtown Huntsville. The protests started peacefully but ended with tear gas and rubber bullets. More training - that’s what 10 months of review boil down to from an independent counsel brought in by the Huntsville Police Citizens Advisory Council. RELATED: A 248-page report was reduced down to a presentation from legal representation for the council on Thursday night.
