Local Athletes Take Titles at State Track
Local track and field athletes were back in competition as the OHSAA State Tournament continued across Ohio.
It was a big day in the Division II State Tournament for Heath’s Huntyr Butler. He took first place in the 110 Hurdles with a time 14.63.
In the girls 400 dash it was Licking Valley’s Reagan Carpenter who took first place. She finished with a time of 56.62.
Over in Division III it was Crooksville’s Greta Barker who came away big. She took home second place in the Girls 100 Dash. She finished with a time of 12.27. Barker also took part in the girls 200 dash where she came in fifth with a time of 26.00.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, which has a base in Welney, have launched a guide to help people’s mental health during lockdown.
The conservation charity has partnered with leading mental health charity the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) to create the booklet.
Launched today (February 2), ‘Wetlands and Wellbeing: A Guide for Winter’ includes practical tips, ideas and inspiration to help people get the most out of their local wetlands.
