AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - This past weekend against the Shreveport MudBugs, Bulls forward Harrison Scott scored three power play goals for his first hat trick of the season. Heâs an offensive weapon, leading Amarillo with 20 goals in 53 games.
âThis past weekend was my first Junior career hat trick, so it was a special one,â said Scott.
âHarrison has been such an important player for us,â said Head Coach Rocky Russo. âHeâs one of our captains obviously, but he leads with his work ethic his compete level his willingness to touch the puck first. To finish checks. To block pucks.â

Amarillo 4 @ Shreveport 5 (SO) - The Shreveport Mudbugs pulled off one of the most improbable comebacks of the season and clinched the South Division title in the process as they shocked the Amarillo Bulls 5-4 in a shootout. Trailing 4-2 with under two minutes remaining, Billy Feczko scored on the power play for his second of the night to bring Shreveport within one. Dawson Sciarrino lit the lamp just 30 seconds later to tie the game at four with his 11th of the year. Adam Kolcon scored the only goal of the shootout to give the Mudbugs the win and the division championship. Sean Bunting also scored in the win for Shreveport while Arseniy Sergeev stopped 33 shots in 65 minutes and all three shooters in the skills competition. The Shreveport Mudbugs (37-10-6) rallied from a late two-goal deficit to knock off the Amarillo Bulls, 5-4 in the shootout and clinch the South Divisionâs top spot Friday night at Georgeâs Pond in Hirsch Coliseum.
The Bugs got off to a great start as Braiden Dorfman won the face-off draw from the RW circle and slid the puck across to Billy Feczko who buried his 14th tally of the season to give Shreveport the early 1-0 lead at 5:30 of the 1st period. It was the only goal of the period as both teams had their chances and the SOG were 15-10 in favor of the home team.
