George Nkencho was shot six times

George Nkencho, who died after being shot by armed gardaí outside his home in Clonee on December 30, sustained six gunshot wounds and not four as previously thought, his post-mortem has found.
The interim cause of death of Mr Nkencho, who had no previous convictions, was found to be two fatal gunshots to vital organs.
The results of the post-mortem were made known by the Garda Síochána Ombudsman to the family on Friday.
An email sent to the family by Gsoc confirmed to them injuries noted at the post-mortem examination were that it appears that six shots were aimed at the central mass (torso) and of those shots, one went through George s arm and did not go into his chest . ....

Two contrasting videos of George Nkencho help tell a story of a man who changed right before his family s eyes in recent years.
One is of Mr Nkencho speaking at his mother’s 45th birthday in 2018, where he thanked people for attending the happy event.
The other video, from last week, is of Mr Nkencho walking in west Dublin as he is followed by Gardaí in marked and unmarked vehicles. RTÉ s Prime Time understands that Gardaí were asking the 27-year-old to stop. But Mr Nkencho does not stop. He keeps walking.

Another protest over the shooting of George Nkencho is set to take place in west Dublin tomorrow morning.

The brother of a knife-wielding black male shot dead by Irish police or Garda said of the officer involved “I want him terminated… I want him finished” to cheers from protesters.
George Nkencho, 27, was slowly followed to his home by around a dozen officers of the Garda Síochána “Guardians of the Peace” after incidents at Hartstown Shopping Centre in Dublin and a Eurospar convenience store in which he is alleged to have threatened members of the public with a knife, with a store manager suffering “facial injuries” in the latter case.
Officers from the Blanchardstown Armed Support Unit (ASU) fatally shot Nkencho, said to have lunged at them with a blade, in what the Guards have described as a “graduated policing response” after efforts to Taser and pepper spray him into submission over an extended period of time proved unsuccessful. ....
