THE family behind the Addingham Clue Trail were surprised and delighted by the success of their February half term lockdown project which raised over £500 for Jaime’s Journey. “Not only has it been great to support a wonderful local family,” said Helen Brooks, the driving force behind Clue Trails, “but the feedback has been truly heart-warming. We’ve heard a number of stories from people who have had a real mental health boost after completing our little challenge. WORK is due to start this week to adapt the home of a man paralysed in biking accident on Ilkley Moor. More than £75,000 has been raised by the local community for the renovation of the Addingham home of Jaime Lunn. The 46-year-old father of two came off his mountain bike on Ilkley Moor on April 25, last year, sustaining spinal injuries at C6 level, leaving him with no sensation below his chest. After spending months in hospital he was finally allowed home on November 13, but that home needs adapting to allow himself and his family - partner Caroline McCullough and their children Florence, nine, and Seth, aged seven - to lead as normal a life as possible. ....

Organizers are lining up participants including Sheyann Webb-Christberg, co-author of the memoir “Selma, Lord, Selma.” She was the youngest marcher in 1965. Her book, co-written with fellow marcher Rachel West and Birmingham News reporter the late Frank Sikora, was made into a 1999 Disney TV movie with the same title. ....
