As Jim Welch retires, VTDigger renames internship program for veteran Vermont editor

Welch led the Burlington Free Press in the 1980s and was a founding editor of USA Today. He joined VTDigger in 2018, serving as a senior editor and, for much of the past year, interim executive director.
