Terrorists locally dubbed as bandits who disguised as women have targeted a Nigerian police checkpoint along Jibia-Batsari road in Katsina, killing two inspectors in Gurbin Magarya village. The assailants, suspected to be bandits, fled with the officers’ rifles, leaving behind the operational vehicle and teargas at the scene. According to Daily Trust, a security source who confirmed the incident on Friday, said the attack took place on Thursday, noting that the victims were members of the police Joint Border Patrol.
