don't seem to pay much attention to that border itself. those are four key tribal areas in the reason. much of the board ser dominated by the pushtun tribes and the baluchi tribes. one thing to know about these tribes, they have more -- greater affinity to their own ethnicity then they have to the country in which they live. being a citizen of pakistan is not nearly as important as what tribe you're a member of in that particular region. this is part of the issue. that boundary is called the duran line, the boundary between afghanistan and pakistan. it was drawn in the 1890s by sir henry mortimar duran. it was created to divide them. but it didn't work. it defies government control.
