Developers turn up the heat on carbon neutral logistics
A super-green West London urban logistics scheme has scored lettings to French and Chinese occupiers as demand for carbon neutral logistics intensifies.
The carbon neutral logistics development will produce more renewable energy than consumed by the base building’s regulated consumption. There are also electric vehicle and e-bike charging points, along with an onsite PV solar power generation system, creating very low energy running costs to the direct benefit of occupiers who can access the solar power at a discount to market rates.
The 64,000 sq ft development at Feltham has signed The Packengers, a French fine art packing and distribution service, which has taken circa 8,000 sq ft of space. Ideal International Logistics, a UK subsidiary of Shanghai Ideal International, has taken the scheme’s second largest unit, of 12,000 sq ft. They join Airbox Fulfilment, who took c. 20,000 sq ft of space in February.
