One of the world’s hippest film festivals kicks off on Wednesday morning (New Zealand time) in a virtual format for the second year in a row.
Rather than take place on the streets and in the cinemas of Austin, Texas, the 2021 edition of South by Southwest (SXSW) has gone completely online. First held in 1987, it is actually part of a larger conglomeration of activities that includes interactive media, music festivals and conferences.
