The world at large knows that the Chinese Spring Festival is the biggest celebration for China and the Chinese people, and Seychelles is known for its “Happy New Year” songs that mark the closing of one year and that welcomes in a new year.
This song just launched by Seychellois artist, George Payet, has traditionally been in Creole, and year after year used as the music to dance to as one welcomes in the new year. George, the well-known Seychelles singer and musician last year launched an English and French version of his traditional “Happy New Year” song, and this year to mark the Chinese Spring Festival, he launched a Chinese version of his popular “Happy New Year” song.
