Stark County man challenges others to donate stimulus check

He's encouraging others to consider doing the same.
"I've made charitable donations throughout the years to various charitable organizations," he said. "When this showed up in my account, I decided the best thing to do with it was to send it to people who could really use it."
Among the charities benefiting from Hoffmann's generosity are the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, United Way of Greater Stark County and Catholic Charities of Portage & Stark Counties.
"I don't need a pat of the back, but I thought it'd be an encouragement to others who have trouble with food or paying rent or paying bills," he said.
