On Monday, Congress passed a COVID relief deal that includes another stimulus payment for Americans. So who qualifies? And when will the checks arrive? Here's what you need to know.
Who gets a stimulus payment?
Individuals making up to $75,000 per year will receive $600. For head of household filers, that threshold is $112,500. For married filers, the income limit doubles to $150,000 and the payment doubles to $1,200 (or $600 for each adult). Americans with dependents under the age of 17 will receive $600 per dependent. So, for a family with two adults and two children whose adjusted gross income (AGI) in 2019 was $68,000 (the median income in the U.S. last year), they can expect to receive $2,400.
