Kary Janousek is now one of a handful of photographers who operate collodion wet-plate studios in North Dakota. She is the newest of the lot and the only female.  Her business, High Hat Portraiture, is based out of a classroom-turned-studio in an old schoolhouse in Mapleton, N.D.
