A Stanford pediatrician was arrested after he allegedly tried to have sex with an underage girl and sent her pornographic images, police announced Tuesday.
Child pornography arrests made in Macon
Two investigations and subsequent arrests in cases that were first initiated in Fall 2020 has Macon County Sheriff’s Office detectives continuing their extensive investigations.
On Oct. 16, 2020, detectives from the Macon County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit received an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Cyber Tip. The Special Victims Unit is also part of the NC State Bureau ICAC Task Force and receives information in reference to crimes of possession, manufacture and distribution of child pornography. Because of this tip, detectives made contact with the suspect and an investigation began and soon expanded to other states.

A Lucile Packard Children s Hospital Stanford physician has been arrested for allegedly attempting to lure a girl to a location for sexual activity, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
Dr. Dylan O Connor, 33, was arrested at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, in the 1800 block of El Camino Real in Redwood City for allegedly sending harmful material to a juvenile and traveling to meet a minor for lewd purposes. Both are felonies.
Redwood City police received a tip from the San Jose Police Department s Internet Crimes Against Children unit, which monitors the illegal exchange of electronic images and activity involving children. The tip involved a possible sex crime against a girl in Redwood City, police said.
Geneseo Republic
CAMBRIDGE Brian W. Duwe, 54 of Orion is on administrative leave from his teaching position with the Geneseo School District after being arrested Feb. 3 on eight felony counts of disseminating child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.
He was arraigned in Henry County Court Feb. 5, and will retain his own attorney.
Duwe is employed as a middle school science teacher. A statement by the Geneseo School District Superintendent
Adam Brumbaugh indicated that Duwe had been employed since the beginning of the 2007-08 school year and is currently on administrative leave.
Henry County States Attorney Cathy Runty said charges carry a 6-30 year jail term, with no possibility of parole. If convicted, the accused is subject to 3 years of supervised release, and must register as a sex offender.
