Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], December 31 (ANI): Congress MLA K C Joseph has written to KeralaChief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requesting him to exempt worship places from the order of Kerala Disaster Management Authority (KDMA) regarding the ban on public New Year celebrations after 10 pm today.
In the letter, Joseph said that the midnight prayer in churches on December 31 is a conventional practice followed by Christians, it is not a celebration but a prayer. There may be attempts to misinterpret disaster management authority s order and to disrupt midnight prayer in the churches, he stated.

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 29 : Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said the Left Front will surge ahead in the next Assembly elections as the performance of the government has led to this confidence.
He also said the suggestions and points raised by people during his interactions with prominent people in the course of his last Kerala Yatra will be incorporated in the election manifesto of the Left democratic Front.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said the suggestions collected during his Kerala tour would be considered in the election manifesto of Left Democratic Front (LDF) for the Assembly polls. During the Kerala tour, our party is collecting opinions from different sections of the society, which will go in the preparation of the election manifesto for the next Assembly polls. People are happy with five years of Left Democratic Front rule and government is committed for the overall development of the state, he said.

Thrissur (Kerala) [India], December 29 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday termed as unfortunate the death of the couple who accidentally immolated themselves while threatening to commit suicide to avoid the eviction process.
The chief minister added that the Kerala government would build a house for the children of the couple.
Speaking to mediapersons in Thrissur, he said, I have given direction to construct a house for the children of the deceased couple. Also, the educational expense of the children will be taken up by the government. They will get all support from the government.
