The country reported another 26,624 fresh coronavirus cases in a span of 24 hours, pushing India s total number of cases to 1,00,31,223 on Sunday.
The number of fresh cases is 5.8% higher than Saturday when the country recorded 25,152 Covid-19 cases as it surpassed the one-crore case mark.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], December 20 (ANI): Karnataka on Sunday reported 1,194 new coronavirus cases, 1,062 discharges, and five deaths, the state health department informed.
With this, the total number of positive cases now stands at 9,09,469.
There are now 14,497 active cases in the state, while the death toll stands at 12,009.
As many as 8,82,944 people have recovered so far.
Meanwhile, with 26,624 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, India s total coronavirus cases reached 1,00,31,223, as per data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
As many as 29,690 recoveries and 341 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], December 20 (ANI): As many as 5,711 new COVID-19 cases and 30 deaths were reported in Kerala in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 61,604.
As per an official statement, 4,471 patients were recovered today. With this, the total number of recoveries so far stands at 6,41,285.
As many as 53,858 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
The death toll due to the virus stands at 2,816.
As two new hotspots were designated today and two were excluded, there are 458 hotspots in the state.
Echoing Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac had said that the COVID-19 vaccine, once cleared, will be available free of cost in the state.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], December 21 (ANI): As many as 386 new coronavirus cases were reported in Indore on Sunday, according to the Chief Medical and Health Officer Poornima Gadaria.
The overall cases in the district have now reached 51,949, while the cumulative death toll climbed to 840.
So far 47,031 have been discharged after recovering from the disease.
