Once treated as a form of a wild bush, lemon grass is now the talk of the town, not only among the inhabitants of this district but also across the Union Territory as this rare species of flora has started earning livelihood for the growers in the shape of ‘Lemon Grass Oil’.

JK Reports 217 New Positive Cases, Tally Reaches 120744 SRINAGAR: The Government on Wednesday informed that 217 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 116 from Jammu division and 101 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 120744. Also, one COVID-19 death has been reported from Jammu Division. Moreover, 270 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 128 from Jammu Division and 142 from the Kashmir Division. According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 120744 positive cases, 3034 are Active Positive, 115830 have recovered and 1880 have died; 695 in Jammu division and 1185 in Kashmir division.

AIR correspondent reports that DDC, Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla flagged off the cycle rally, which passed through Slathia Chowk, Ramnagar Chowk, Court road, Gole market, Bus Stand and culminated at Town Hall Udhampur.   The DDC highlighted the importance of physical and mental fitness in the development of healthy society and said that the main objective of organizing this awareness rally is to sensitize the common masses about Fit India campaign launched by Government of India.

SRINAGAR: The Government on Tuesday informed that 234 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 103 from Jammu division and 131 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 120527. Also 04 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 02 from Jammu Division and 02 from Kashmir Division. Moreover, 299 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 159 from Jammu Division and 140 from the Kashmir Division. According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 120527 positive cases, 3088 are Active Positive, 115560 have recovered and 1879 have died; 694 in Jammu division and 1185 in Kashmir division.

J&K Reports 156 New COVID-19 Cases, Tally Reaches 120293

SRINAGAR: The Government on Monday informed that 156 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 66 from Jammu division and 90 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 120293. Also, 06 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 01 from Jammu Division and 05 from Kashmir Division. Moreover, 275 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 155 from Jammu Division and 120 from Kashmir Division. According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 120293 positive cases, 3157  are Active Positive, 115261 have recovered and 1875 have died; 692 in Jammu division and 1183 in Kashmir division. The Bulletin further said that out of 3739623test results available, 3619330 samples have been tested as negative till December 28, 2020.
