Posted By: JJ Hayes April 28, 2021 @ 3:24 am Blogs, JJ Hayes Show Page     Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 94-Year-Old Marine Veteran Johnny Bell.  Johnny served in the Marines during World War II and owned Bell’s Flooring in the Delano area.  Members of the American Legion in Mulvane and motorcyclists from the area gathered to throw Johnny a surprise birthday parade and party.  It was all organized by Johnny’s caretaker, Connie Evans, said the look on Johnny’s face made it all worth it.  Happy Birthday Johnny and THANK YOU for your service.

Posted By: JJ Hayes April 27, 2021 @ 3:34 am Blogs, JJ Hayes Show Page   Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Pennsylvania Boy Scout Troop 2046.   They recently made a difference by helping the Pennsylvania Veteran Farming Project, which is a grassroots network of veterans and military who farm and operate agricultural production.  The troop recently visited Butler Hill Maple Farm and helped plant 850 sugar maple seedling that would later produce maple syrup and other maple products on the farm.  Thank you Boy Scouts and THANK YOU to the Veterans of the Farming Project for your service. Posted By: JJ Hayes April 23, 2021 @ 3:17 am Blogs, JJ Hayes Show Page     Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Chris Cooper.  Since 2008, this country has seen over 6,000 Veteran suicides, and Chris is trying to raise awareness to fight these numbers.  Chris has been a part of the non-profit Mission 22 for 5 years and to do his part he plans to walk for 24 hours straight on Monday.  Chris says, “Walking for twenty four hours is not going to be easy. It’s going to be very, very difficult. I’m going to struggle through it. I’m going to have a hard time, which is what I kind of wanted to have, to show those who are struggling [that if] they may feel alone, [and if] they may feel like they want to give up, but if they keep putting one foot in front of the other there’s nothing that they can’t get through,” says Cooper.  Thank you Chris for you willingness to help and THANK YOU for
