Charges: Chanhassen man fired hundreds of rounds, killing his sister

A Chanhassen man is accused of firing hundreds of rounds in the fatal shooting of his sister over the weekend.
Joseph Thomas Ness, 21, of Chanhassen, is charged with second-degree murder in connection to the May 8 death of his 25-year-old sister, Noelle Ness.
According to the criminal complaint, Carver County deputies responded to 3732 Landings Drive, on the shores of Lake Minnewashta in Chanhassen, at around 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, for a fire alarm, and while en route learned there was a shooting at the home.
UPDATE: Missing 73-year-old St. Paul man found dead
You Houa Thao, who was last seen Saturday, was found dead Wednesday morning. His cause of death is still being determined.

ST PAUL, Minn. A 73-year-old man has been found dead after several days of searches.
You Houa Thao, a St. Paul grandfather, walked away from his house Saturday. He was dealing with medical complications, including recovery from a recent stroke.
Felony assault, burglary and predatory offender cases also heard in Becker County District Court.

Maengun James Lee Randberg, 22, of Frazee has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct - victim under age 13, and gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to court records, on April 21 he approached a girl under the age of 11 who was sleeping in the same house, touching her inappropriately and trying to pull her pants down. The girl stayed awake the rest of the night because she was afraid he would approach her again. She was awake at 5 a.m. when a woman came into the living room, and she told the woman what happened.

WASHINGTON A federal grand jury in Minneapolis, Minnesota, returned two indictments that were unsealed today. The first indictment charges former Minneapolis Police Department officers Derek Chauvin, 45; Tou Thao, 35; J. Alexander Kueng, 27; and Thomas Lane, 38, with federal civil rights crimes for their roles in the death of George Perry Floyd Jr.
