Conway woman dies in Berkshire East skiing accident Published: 3/12/2021 5:06:44 PM CHARLEMONT A 70-year-old woman from Conway died Tuesday afternoon following a skiing accident at Berkshire East Mountain Resort. The woman was transported by ambulance to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, where she was pronounced dead, according to Mary Carey, spokesperson for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. State and local police responded to the scene. The cause of the incident remains under investigation, but no criminal activity or foul play is suspected, Carey noted. Buckland Police and Fire departments were initially requested for assistance in setting up a landing zone for LifeFlight at Mohawk Trail Regional School, but the helicopter was ultimately canceled, Buckland Police Chief Jim Hicks said Tuesday.

During her final year at Suffolk Law in 2020, she was a certified student attorney working in the university’s Juvenile Defenders Clinic, where she represented juvenile clients in criminal cases in Boston Municipal Court.
