Facebook has enabled support for software subscriptions on the Oculus Quest platform. The company said it wants to give developers the ability to seamlessly deliver new content, features, and tools to app subscribers.
At the time of writing, apps including
FitXR,
Tripp, and
VZFit are offering subscriptions in a variety of guises, with some like Rec Room Plus taking the form of an optional monthly membership that grants players tokens, free items, and more. Other apps and services, meanwhile, will be subscription-only. App subscriptions offerings differ by title. For some, you’ll need a subscription to access the service. For others, the subscription is optional to unlock even more content and features, explained Oculus.

It used to be a pretty straight-forward process: all you needed to do was make your title available on the big digital storefronts, a few key retailers, and that was it. In 2018, a new player appeared on the market; one that gave developers a massive range of bonuses and features. I m talking about the Epic Games Store (EGS), the retail child of Epic Games.
Sony details how it redesigned its PS5 packaging to help save the planet
The company said the environmentally friendly packaging, which launched alongside the next-gen console last year, is another step on its road to zero, with the PlayStation maker striving to eradicate its environmental footprint by the year 2050.
With that goal in mind, Sony has worked to ensure its PS5 console and accessories packaging is fully recyclable and (depending on the product) between 93 and 99 percent plastic free.
It looked to hit some key goals with its redesign, including avoiding expanded polystyrene or plastic trays, replacing plastic cable ties with paper cable ties, eliminating plastic protection bags, substituting plastic display windows for closed card boxes, and incorporating folding to replace glued hanger tabs.
