says it's not? >> if you want to take a helicopter tour of new york from new jersey, you'd think that would be pretty easy. emergency management in new york is stretched thin. just like they are all over the northeast. when the president comes to town, it stretches them even thinner. i think of all the people that we could criticize for being partisan, michael bloomberg is not one. and so i think he's probably making a decision that he thinks is best for his city. i think the president is going to get plenty of press with his -- like you said, his new bff chris christie. i think if he does lose the election, we could see a new television show "the odd couple" that would be pretty popular. >> we'll see how it goes today. we'll see if that show ever comes to fruition. i do want to talk to you about governor romney back on the campaign trail, as we've been telling everybody going to this event starting down in florida. these are pictures of romney in ohio the other day where they
it has been not a landslide or explosive, but what it has been a steady. that is what mitt romney has to like is that he he continues to gain ground. we know that ohio is essentially a tie. but before they had been a tie, now it is the other way. if you are mitt romney, you have to like that this close to election day. >> as you watch the storm surge, we talked about a storm surge for governor romney in ohio. for him, it could not come at a better time. eight days out from the election. looking behind the rasmussen numbers to figure out how he did it in ohio. how he got to this point where it is now one poll. it's the only poll he's had in ohio showing that hate until he is ahead. the rasmussen numbers show that he has a 12-point advantage on the economy. it was just a seven-point advantage last week. so he has gone up 12 points a week. what did that? >> we have seen this in other polls. it is the way that independence
of us who know what the truth is is said, you know what, we ought to knock this off. let's go to mr. logos in ohio because you agree with scott. you are pretty much saying it's a dead heat now. but a week ago, 10 days ago, the president had a big lead. so it looks like again momentum is shifting to romney in ohio. >> that's absolutely true. we have a 47, 47 split. we listed all the candidates that are certified on the ohio ballot. it's a tale of two calendars if you look at the early voters mitt romney trails barack obama by 13 among that small slice of early voters. but if you look at the people who are planning to vote or very likely to vote, it's just the opposite. mitt romney leads by 3. the net effect, 47, 47. >> okay. now, are you standing by -- you made news last week on this program by saying that your polling outfit pulled out of florida, virginia and north carolina because you guys had decided suffolk university that those states were going to go to mitt romney.
