Willmar Mayor Marv Calvin was recognized Monday, Dec. 19, for his service to the city at the last meeting of his tenure.

Doug Reese was elected the new mayor of Willmar in Tuesday's election with 4,623 votes or 75.45% of the vote, according to unofficial results.

Paul Borene, chair of Willmar Mayor's Housing Task Force, recently presented the task force's plan to solve the single-family housing issues the city is facing.

Mayoral candidates Steve Peppin and Doug Reese participated in a candidate forum Thursday, Oct. 14, 2022, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Willmar Area.
