We will then begin working on getting the Pfizer vaccine, Suttle said. We wanted to make sure we had the freezer and have all the guidelines in place to keep the Pfizer vaccine safe.

The FDA and CDC recently approved the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for continued use. The single-dose vaccine had previously been paused for review after receiving a handful of reports of rare but serious blood clots forming in women who had received the vaccine. At the time of the pause, more than 7 million Americans had received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and 6 women reported blood clots about .000086%.
“We’re glad the FDA and CDC did a thorough evaluation of the vaccine and its side effects,” said Bryan Ayars, CEO of Open Door Health Services. “We will continue to offer the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine at neighborhood clinics, as well as the Moderna vaccine. We’ll let individuals make their own decisions as to which vaccine they prefer and will offer the CDC’s guidelines to help them with the decision.”

MUNCIE, Ind. A Muncie resident was arrested Wednesday in the wake of another man’s fatal drug overdose.
Donovan Joseph Hudson, 23, was taken into custody as he allegedly tried to flee from the scene of the overdose, in the 2300 block of South Penn Street, where a 24-year-old local man had died.
Authorities said Hudson was found “attempting to leave with a basket containing a safe and other items.”
He was also reportedly found to be carrying two syringes, containing a “liquid substance,” and more than 500 blue tablets of what was believed to be a controlled substance.
“Those syringes aren’t mine,” Hudson reportedly told officers. “I took them off those guys at the house. One is from the guy who died.”
