(WIS) - Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are commending an elementary student for coming forward with information leading to the arrest of a school worker who is charged with inappropriately touching the student. William Lee Miller, 57, is charged with second-degree assault and battery, according to Lt. Ryan Flood. Flood said investigators received a complaint from administrators at Sue Cleveland Elementary, at 375 Woodmont School Road, in Piedmont, on Wednesday about Miller, who worked as a building services employee at the school.

A day earlier, “During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that Miller inappropriately touched the student on her buttocks and made inappropriate comments to her after she entered a school stairwell,” Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Ryan Flood said, according to WYFF4.

Williamston man charged with murder following a shooting

A Williamston man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Pelzer man, according to the Greenville County Sheriff s Office. Corey Jerome Daniel, 43, of Williamston was taken into custody and has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to warrants. Dallas K. Rosemond, 32, of Pelzer, was found with a gunshot wound in the Pelzer Dollar General parking lot about 8:30 p.m., according to the Greenville County Sheriff s Office and Greenville County Coroner s Office. He died at Greenville Memorial Hospital about an hour later, according to the Coroner s Office.
