Flood said the woman was holding a 9-month-old baby at the time of the attack.

(AP) A South Carolina man is facing a murder charge after a body was found in the woods behind a home near Greenville. Russell Wydell Gilliam Jr., 20, of Piedmont was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the body as that of 28-year-old Octravious Lamar Jones of Piedmont. Jones body was found in the woods on Saturday, The Greenville News reported. Investigators say that on April 17, Gilliam stabbed the victim multiple times following an argument on April 17.

Deputies investigating armed robbery at Upstate CVS

Published on Sunday, April 25, 2021 Deputies with Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 6:18 p.m. at the CVS, located at 2401 E. North Street. A female entered the store and presented a black and silver colored handgun, according to the GCSO. The suspect then fled the scene, with an undisclosed amount of money, in a burgundy colored vehicle. The subject is described as a hispanic female, approximately 5-foot-3, 115 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and a black face mask. GCSO asks anyone with information concerning this incident to call CrimeStoppers at 232-7463.  

Missing person, 80, requires medical attention

      Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are seeking help with information pertaining to the whereabouts of a missing person, John Notartomaso, 80. was last was last seen Friday at around 11:30 a.m., leaving 118 Boling Court, Taylors. Notartomaso suffers from Alzheimer’s and other medical impairments that require immediate attention. He is described as 5-foot, 100 pounds with gray hair. Notartomaso was last seen wearing black pants and brown boots and an unknown colored shirt.  Deputies request for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 911 immediately and for anyone who sees him to try and maintain a line of sight of him, if safe to do so, until law enforcement officials can arrive on scene.
