An 11-year-old boy accused of threatening to blow up St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School and use a gun to hurt students was arrested Wednesday, marking the second arrest this week of a student reportedly making threats at a school in Palm Coast, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
The 11-year-old was charged with false report of a bomb and was taken to the Flagler County Jail and then released to his parents as required by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, the release from the sheriff s office said.
The incident at the school at 4600 Belle Terre Parkway followed the arrest of a Matanzas High School student on Tuesday. Joseph Washington, 18, of Palm Coast, was accused of recording a song in which he threatened to kill a school administrator, a report said. Washington wrote the song after he was suspended from Matanzas for violating the dress code and using vulgar language, a report said.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said it has severed its ties to Christmas with a Deputy Inc., because, among other reasons, it references only one faith and only one type of law enforcement.
The sheriff s office said there is nothing Grinch-like about the decision. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Children’s Charity will now use donations raised during the holiday season to run an event called Shop with a Cop, according to an email from sheriff’s spokeswoman Brittany Kershaw.
She added that Christmas with a Deputy also gave people the mistaken impression that it was run by the sheriff’s office, which it was not.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A high school student who recorded a song threatening a campus administrator claimed the lyrics were just a “fantasy,” according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the song was circulating on Tuesday inside Matanzas High School when a school resource officer was made aware that the song was making threatening statements toward an administrator at the school.

The song was recorded by 18-year-old Joseph Washington, a student at the school, after he was suspended for using offensive language while on campus.
