2021 Interstate 90 Construction Season Starts Monday
Driver alert. The 2021 Interstate 90 construction season kicks off this week. A press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation says the work will start with the installation of a new roundabout. The release says the Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will be building a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of I-90 and Canyon Road. The work could impact your commute because during the work there ll be one-way alternating traffic at Canyon Road weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the eastbound on-and off-ramps at Canyon Road will be closed weeknights from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. State officials warn that State Route 821 through the Yakima River Canyon will remain accessible at all times but they say they expect a lot of congestion and that you may want find a different route.

The motivation for the decision was as a woke reaction to (and punishment for?) the Georgia State Legislature passing an election reform bill. Senate Bill 202 called the Election Integrity Act of 2021.
The measure includes the following justification (1) Following the 2018 and 2020 elections, there was a significant lack of confidence in Georgia election systems, with many electors concerned about allegations of rampant voter suppression and many electors concerned about allegations of rampant voter fraud; (2) Many Georgia election processes were challenged in court, including the subjective signature-matching requirements, by Georgians on all sides of t
