DES MOINES, Iowa Bridgestone Americas Inc. s Firestone agricultural tire plant in Des Moines vaccinated 252 employees during the first day of a two-day voluntary on-site COVID-19 vaccination event April 6. The second day of the event is April 8.
Bridgestone also held similar events at plants in Wilson, N.C., and Aiken County, S.C.
The Des Moines plant employs between 1,100 and 1,300 people.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Some changes caused by the COVID-19 outbreak will evaporate over time as the country and the world overcome the pandemic, but others are here to stay as a result of some fundamental shifts.
