This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff s Office: On April 3, Pettis County Deputies investigated an assault that occurred in the 28000 block of Highway U. The investigation is ongoing.   On April 1, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop near 7th and Barrett in Sedalia on a vehicle that failed to signal and failed to stop at a stop sign. During the stop, deputies detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of synthetic marijuana. The driver, Tyler Tindell of Sedalia, was issued a summons for failure to signal, failure to stop at a stop sign, possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid (10 grams or less), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
