LISBON Anthony J. Antonas, 40, Poland, was bound over in county Municipal Court to the grand jury on charges of domestic violence, criminal trespassing, aggravated burglary and disrupting public services. Antonas is accused of striking Cheyenne Cooper in the nose three times and causing it to bleed in May of 2020 and then entering the home of Ester Blue, whose granddaughter, Cooper, had fled there to shelter from Antonas. He reportedly refused to leave when he was told to go by three people there and swatted Blue’s arm causing her phone to fall and break when she was attempting to call 911.
COLUMBIANA Wayside Lawn Structures on state Route 14 reported a theft of equipment that occured on Sunday. K-9 Csuti assisted the highway patrol with a vehicle sniff during a traffic stop at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday.
LEETONIA A Columbia Street resident reported at 3:11 p.m. Sunday her ex-boyfriend will not stop text messaging and harassing her. She was advised to block his number and to contact the courts if she wanted to pursue a protection order. A 200 block Chestnut Street resident reported at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday a package had been reported delivered to her front porch, but she never received it.

Apr 23, 2021 LISBON An April 29 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Steven W. Watters II, 43, Elk Avenue, Lisbon, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly driving a vehicle with a stolen license plate on Aug. 8.
A June 15 pretrial was set for Keith O. Savage, 34, North Jefferson Street, Lisbon, charged with OVI second offense, no temporary permit and left of center.
Trey Shields, 21, Lincoln Street, East Liverpool, was fined $1,175, had his license suspended for 180 days, credited with a day in jail, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, failure to stop after an accident, failure to control and possession of marijuana.
Apr 23, 2021 Someone on Osbourne Road, Wellsville, reported at 7:33 a.m. Wednesday he had found a phone in the New Castle, Pa., area Walmart on Tuesday and when he turned it on Wednesday it told him to call the New Castle Walmart or the sheriff’s office. An officer retrieved the phone and a dispatcher spoke to the owner about returning the phone. Deputies went to a Glasgow Road, Wayne Township, home at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday to check on someone, but found no one at the home.
