Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Travis Stackhouse, 30, pleaded to second-degree reckless homicide, child abuse and child neglect in the death of his 5-year-old son, Sir Amer Stackhouse.
Stackhouse seemingly broke and copped to the plea after two days of reliving the excruciating details from witnesses, and then prosecutors reportedly replayed his taped confession after his son died.
The Milwaukee District Attorney’s office said during the trial that the father became enraged that his kids were eating most of his Father’s Day cheesecake. Stackhouse lost it and punched his son and smacked the boy’s face with the back of his hand, which contains metal from surgery, the Wisconsin newspaper repo

A Milwaukee man was convicted of homicide after he fatally punched his 5-year-old son over a piece of cheesecake, according to reports.

Prosecutors claimed that Stackhouse lost his temper when his children ate some cheesecake he had gotten for Father’s Day earlier in the week, and Stackhouse said he only had one piece of the cake. In his anger, he punched his son, then struck the boy with the back of his hand, WDJT reported.
Two women, ages 18 and 19, are dead after a car crash on Milwaukee s northwest side Thursday morning.
The two victims were traveling in a vehicle that lost control and rear-ended a truck on the 8000 block of North 91st Street at 9:24 a.m., police said. No other injuries were reported.
