Police hit area with enhanced powers to stop-and-search after gunmen open fire on two houses just over a mile apart

Gunmen have opened fire on Huyton streets in two separate shootings just over a mile apart on Sunday. Today Merseyside Police confirmed gunmen had opened fire at a house in Woolfall Crescent and another house was shot at in Reeds Road, around 1.3 miles and a six-minute drive away. The first shooting happened at 2.30am and the second on Reeds Road at around 7.10pm.
