Appeal Court Rules On PDP Ogun Central Senatorial District's Primary Election

An Appeal Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, has struck out a case challenging the candidacy of Olumide Aderinokun as the People Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer for the Ogun Central Senatorial District. An aspirant, Dada Kolawole Oduntan, had approached the Federal High Court over the primary election that produced Aderinokun as the candidate of the PDP in Ogun Central for the 2023 election. Oduntan had told the court that the primary held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library on May 23 did not follow due process, praying the court to declare him the winner.
