Thursday marks the 20th business day since the Texas Organizing Project filed a petition with the city clerk calling for a public vote on mandatory paid sick leave in San Antonio. The clerk has informed the organization that her team won't be able to meet the deadline but hasn't said how much longer the process will take. The concern is that the process might take so long that the issue doesn't make the deadline for calling a November election.
