Author Alan Hlad to talk on Zoom about second novel The Repository DOVER – Bestselling author Alan Hlad will talk about his second novel, "Churchill’s Secret Messenger," at 6:30 p.m. May 27 on Zoom, according to a Dover Public Library news release. "Churchill’s Secret Messenger" is about a young woman from London who is recruited from Churchill's typing pool to become an undercover spy in German-occupied France in World War II. She endures daring missions, audacious escapes and harrowing imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp, risking everything for the country — and the man — she loves. Hlad is a corporate executive turned writer. His work has appeared in The Bleeding Lion, Larks Fiction Magazine, The National Underwriter, Claims Magazine, and PC 360. He is a member of the Historical Novel Society, Literary Cleveland and the Akron Writers' Group. Alan lives in Ohio with his wife and children.
