Authors of a Trump report pushing for 'patriotic education' and downplaying slavery appear to have copied sections from an old op-ed

The 1776 Commission report touted by Trump includes seemingly copy-pasted material.
The Commission aimed to rebut what its authors claim is liberal bias in history teaching. 
The report has been attacked for its ideological bias and lack of academic rigor.
