Mr. Uchenna Mojekwu, a civil rights activist and Secretary of the Global Integrity Crusade Network (GICN), has been remanded in prison by the Chief Magistrate Court 1 in Makurdi, Benue State. The Chief Magistrate, Kelvin Mbanongun, ordered that the activist should be remanded in prison after refusing to hear an oral application for his bail. The chief magistrate asked his lawyer to file a formal bail application.
