Carlos Sanson Jr can thank the global pandemic for scoring a dream role in the new show
Bump. The 22-year-old Australian-born Chilean actor landed the part of Santi, a high schooler who suddenly becomes a father when academic Year 11 student Oly Chalmers (Nathalie Morris) gives birth without realising she was pregnant.
It's not the fact he's playing a high school student-turned-father that has Sanson Jr so excited about being part of the show. It's about identifying with a role after years of knockbacks in Australia.

"Everything happens for a reason. I was in LA at the beginning of the year [2020] and I'd spent a few months there last year. I was planning on staying there permanently, and then COVID hit, and it probably wasn't the best place to be, for health insurance and that sort of stuff.
