Summary: What the survey results say Most teachers have been thrown into distance learning for which neither they nor their districts were well prepared. Most teachers feel they’ve responded to the challenge; they’ve done their best under difficult conditions. Most are working harder and more hours than before. Most teachers feel at least partly successful in serving their students. Only a few feel that distance learning has been a complete disaster. By far the greatest source of support for teachers is other teachers. Less-useful system supports are those from the state, counties, districts and universities. There was a huge variation in viewing districts as useful. Some teachers were grateful for the help; others felt districts made decisions without their input and without offering help.
