CanalPointKECTV/YouTube As an 11-year-old, student reporter Damon Weaver landed the interview of his dreams with then-President Obama. In the 10-minute interview, the two discussed education in America, with topics ranging from funding to whether Obama had the power to change school lunches. Weaver's suggestion included French fries and mangoes as staples for all students. Weaver, who continued to pursue a journalism career into college, died May 1 at age 23. His sister, Candace Hardy, told "He was loved by everyone," Hardy told the Post. "No matter if it was a stranger, his mom or a family member, he was just a ball of light with so much energy. He was always positive, always had a smile on a face and he was always a joy to be around. He left an impact on a lot of people."
