The Danish Defence Command (Forsvaretdk) has taken delivery of its first F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter (JSF). The Embassy of Denmark in the US tweeted on 6 April: “Tomorrow, Denmark’s first F-35 will be handed over to Forsvaretdk at a ceremony in Fort Worth, Texas.” The fighter jet will remain in the US Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, US, for pilot and maintainer training under the auspices of the USAF’s 308th Fighter Squadron, which is part of the 56th Fighter Wing.
