the dinosaurs. something we take seriously but the cycle time is measured on a scale of a hundred thousand a years. >> would there be anything to prepare or get people out? how much of a warning might we get with this eruption? >> all you can do it run. you don't get much warning. the ground starts to rise and more and more earthquakes take place and more ash and volcanic gases start to unleash. the only warning we have. we do not have a good way to predict volcanic eruptions. >> are we getting a better way to do it or at the mercy of mother nature? >> we are still clueless looking for the warning size. that is why the sudden rise in the earth even though is not immediately dangerous is looked at very carefully because we have no experience with super volcanoes. we have seen mt. st. helen's but a super volcano erupting in our lifetime we have no understanding of the scope of that thing. we see the evidence of previous eruptions. >> you're saying it could be tomorrow or a hundred thousand
