with these folks. i was in egypt writing about the muslim brotherhood. i was struck by -- well, several things. one is they are very far from monolithic. we are talking about millions of people. there is a conservativele small town element of the muslim brotherhood but there is quite a progressive wing of the muslim brotherhood. now less ideological and more pragmatic body and one that's more interested in the domestic issues of democracy and free speech as opposed to things like we want to impose sharia. so i think mubarak used the brotherhood to terrify generations of american political leaders. i suspect in reality they will take a more modest role and be less of a spoiler, i think, on peace issues than we fear. >> i disagree with my good friend jim for once.
