firefighters are dou-- are dous a small but fast-moving brush fire that broke out. and thousands have been driven from homes. this is aided by record-breaking temperatures, in the triple-digits which made it difficult for firefighters to control these flames. could you see them here working to keep each other safe. and in southern california the holiday fire destroyed some 20 structures and threatened infrastructure. today you could see the burnt out shells of cars and homes destroyed in the blaze. sara sidner joined me now from the city of goaleta in santa barbara. this is a beautiful part of the country but obviously a trem and youous -- a tremendous amount of damage. is there any hope for relief there in california? >> reporter: for this fire, yes. but there are about 14 fires you just mentioned a new one this morning and now the burbank hills -- there is a fire that
